MILITARY COMMUNICATIONS CENTENNIAL (MCC) CERTIFICATE OF ACHIEVEMENT NOMINATION INSTRUCTIONS 1. GENERAL. The 'Certificate of Achievement' will recognize and honour deserving individuals and organizations for significant accomplishments / contributions / distinguished service in the field of military communications which have been of an exceptionally / consistently high standard and have accrued great benefit to the Department of National Defence and the Canadian Forces. The certificate will be signed by Her Royal Highness, Princess Anne, The Princess Royal. 2. CERTIFICATE AWARD CRITERIA. The Certificate of Achievement will be awarded to eligible personnel and organizations who / which have: a. met eligibility criteria; b. made a single exceptional meritorious contribution to Canadian Military Communications; c. over the long term, made significant and meritorious achievements / contributions to Canadian Military Communications; d. consistently demonstrated distinguished service and performance of duty. 3. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA. The following individuals / organizations are eligible for nomination. Posthumous awards for individuals will not be made. a. serving or retired military and civilian members of the CF (Regular and Reserve), DND, and CF predecessor organizations (RCN, CA, RCAF); b. formations, units and sub-units of the CF (Regular and Reserve), and CF predecessor organizations (RCN, CA, RCAF); c. individual members (serving or retired military and civilian ) of a foreign armed force or Defence Department who have demonstrably contributed to Canadian Military Communications, and d. Canadian and foreign commercial organizations and individual members of them who have demonstrably contributed to Canadian Military Communications. 4. SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS. a. Submissions for the Certificate of Achievement are to be made using the attached 'Nomination Form', in English or French. b. Submissions must be received by 31 Mar 03. c. Queries. Specifics are included on the nomination form. 5. SELECTION / ANNOUNCEMENT OF RECIPIENTS. Consideration and review of submissions will be made by a committee composed of serving and retired military and civilian members of the C&E Community. The selection committee will advise recipients by 31 May 03. Publication of recipients will be made on the MCC web site. 6. PRESENTATION.
