Artifact and Photo courtesy of Eric Solomonson
Description:
There was an airfield, built in 1941, at Watson Lake, Yukon that was run under the Northwest Staging Route Program. Watson Lake was one of many airfields used by the US to ferry planes to Russia under the Lend-Lease program. This jacket crest came from an Airforce wireless operator, LAC Thomas Solomonson.
