History
1 Signal Squadron was established on 1 May 1958 from personnel and resources drawn from 1 CIDSR to support 1 CIBG (Authorization SD Letter 58-26, 18 April 1958). The unit proceeded to Camp Wainwright for training and concentration from 13 June to 29 July. On 15 Sep 1958 the unit moved to its home in Calgary.
On 1 April 1967 1 Signal Squadron and Headquarters 1 CBG combined to form 1 Canadian Brigade Group Headquarters and Signal Squadron. |
