1 Line Troop
Active 23 October 1952 – 31 August 1968

1 Line Troop was established as a unit of the Royal Canadian Corps of Signals on 23 October 1952.[1]

At some point the unit became known as 1 Heavy Line Troop under 2 Squadron of the 1st Canadian Signal Regiment. The role of 1 Heavy Line Troop was to install, maintain and remove cable and antenna systems in support of the Canadian Forces.

Having at some point already reduced to nil strength, the unit was officially disbanded effective 31 Aug 1968.[2]
