The Trailer APF (Accurate Position Finder), later sometimes referred to as Trailer, AA Radar No 3 Mk 1, was a medium-range radar system that composed part of the Radiolocation (Radar) Unit GL III(c). It was used for the accurate tracking of a single target unlike a Zone Position Indicator (ZPI) radar that scanned for new targets. Once deployed, the entire cabin rotated as the target was tracked.

The trailer itself was a drop-frame trailer with turntable steering and Warner electric brakes, 7.50-20 tyres (single front, dual rear) and had a laden weight of 9.5 tons.[1]
