Cable Section War Establishment

The role of a Cable Section in the First World War was to provide line communications between a corps and its subordinate divisions. As the number of divisions within a corps was not fixed, the establishment was kept separate from the Corps Signal Company War Establishment and the required number of cable sections would be attached to the company as needed.
