This example was made by the Grand'mere company and is dated 1944. This is interesting as it has a red backing behind the cap badge even though the authorized colour for the RCCS was blue.

Recent information indicates that Toronto Signal Regiment started using a red backing for their badge but it isn't clear when or why. Any information on this would be appreciated.
