Description
A photo of the arrival of HRH Mary, Princess Royal and Countess of Harewood on 3 April 1940 for her first inspection of Royal Canadian Corps of Signal personnel during the Second World War. At the time she was not the Colonel-in-Chief but, based on the success of the event, she soon took on that role. William P. Shirreff can be seen saluting at the curb.
