LSVW Cable Layer Prototypes

The LSVW Cable Laying Adaptor Kit (CLAK) is a vehicle in use by the Canadian Armed Forces for the tactical laying of communication lines. Officially adopted in 1995, it was under development for a number of years prior.

Prototypes

A prototype was developed in 1993 which underwent trials at the Land Engineering and Testing Establishment (LETE) in Ottawa as well as field trials in Petawawa.

A second prototype was build and examined at Western Star as a result of feedback received from the initial prototype.
