734 Communication Squadron was formed by the redesignation of 2nd Independent Signal Squadron effective 1 April 1970.[1]

In 1975[2] 734 (Saskatoon) Dependent Troop was created as a dependent troop of 734 (Regina) Communication Squadron. This arrangement existed until In 1978 when it was made an independent troop and redesignated 737 (Saskatoon) Communication Troop.[3]

734 Communication Squadron was absorbed by 38 Signals Regiment by Ministerial Order dated 26 July 2011.[4]
