Description
Medals for Sergeant John T. Douglas.
The mounted medals are (left to right): 1939-1945 Star, Pacific Star, Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with overseas bar, 1939-45 War Medal, United Nations Emergency Force Medal, Queen Elizabeth II Coronation Medal, Canadian Forces Decoration.
After his retirement in 1968, he became entitled to additional medals which were never mounted. Shown are the Defence Medal (entitled from 1985) and the Canadian Peacekeeping Service Medal (entitled from 2000). He was also entitled to the "HONG KONG" bar for the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal (entitled from 1985) however it appears it was never applied for.
